Meta Will Remove Facebook Gaming At the End of October This Year

Techprovit, Jakarta - Facebook is rumored to be closing its Facebook Gaming service on October 28. This app has only been out for two years, but it doesn't seem like it will last long.

According to the official website, the Facebook Gaming app is a focused gaming experience, where you can view your favorite streamers, play instant games, and join gaming groups.

The Facebook Gaming app was first launched on Google Play for Android users, and the iOS version followed after that.

So now, when you open the app, you will see a notification saying that the app will no longer be available on iOS and Android after the specified date. The application will also no longer be available either on the Google Play Store or the App Store.

"We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of you for all you have done to build a thriving community of gamers and fans since the app was first launched. This is truly a community-led effort to bring new gaming features to Facebook, ' wrote the notice.

Facebook also revealed that you can still download game quests before the app is completely discontinued.

In addition, the app was first launched in April 2020 ahead of the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meta created this app as a way for users to watch their favorite streamers, play instant games, and join gaming groups.
