archieve feature in whatsapp
Archieve WhatsApp feature - Ilustration.

TechProvit - Did you know that currently the WhatsApp application has a new feature that can provide privacy benefits regarding the messages you get. This feature can also make people seem unable to send messages to us without bothering to block them. Yes, that's right, this feature is the Archieve Feature.

With this message archive feature, chat rooms that are considered disturbing can be archived. In short, this feature makes it easy to hide individual or group chats from the chat list.

However, you don't know whether or not there are incoming messages from archived contacts or groups, because notifications don't appear.

"The archive (feature) on WhatsApp allows you to organize private messages and prioritize important conversations. Your Archived Chats will now remain archived and muted, but you can always change them back!" WhatsApp said in a tweet.

Ways to Reject WhatsApp Message Without Blocking Number

Following are ways to archive chat or group messages on WhatsApp:

  1. Select the chat column that you want to archive
  2. Swipe the chat room to the left of the screen, until the 'more' and 'archive' options appear
  3. Select archive, and the chat room will automatically enter into the archive column.

Meanwhile, to find out which message rooms have been archived, you can do the following ways:

  • Scroll down the chat list, until there is an archived option. The number next to archived shows how many individual or group chats are archived that are unread.
  • Select the archived menu
  • The menu display will change to an archived chat list.

So, this method also allows users to cancel the archived chat column, namely by> sliding to the left of the chat that you want to cancel> selecting Unarchive.

So, automatically archived chat messages will return to the normal message list, according to the official WhatsApp website.
